“Prepare, Visit, Follow up” is the message pushed towards by the Angelos Alexopoulos and his colleagues at CERN Education Group. Aligning with the message, physics teachers at Ellinogermaniki Agogi High School prepared their students for an educational trip to CERN.

Below video documents the educational field trip to CERN by high-school students of Ellinogermaniki Agogi, Greece. The aim of this video is to demonstrate a methodological approach, structured into three steps, that other schools can follow in order to get the most out of the CERN experience. The video has been supported but the Go-Lab and Inspiring Science Education Projects, co-funded by the EU’s 7th Framework Programme.

(Editor’s note: At 03.58 in the video, the orange accelerator is mislabeled as the Proton Synchrotron. It is actually Linear Accelerator 2, the first machine in CERN’s accelerator chain.)
